WALLS

As objects, our associations with walls are determined by the context within which we view them. In this way of ascribing meaning onto them, walls function as a type of blank slate, allowing their connotation to be fluid and malleable. Inevitably, walls are rarely viewed as purely independent objects, divorced from their environment and purpose. In this series, I work remove them from their context and meaning by viewing them from a distance at which no extraneous information remains visible. By doing this, I invite the viewer to wonder at the beautiful mundanity of these abstract forms that exist all around us.
